Stop The Killing
(Catfood Records)
2003-08-23
This song was released just before the invasion of Iraq. We toured from Texas to Florida just after Saddam's statue had been toppled to promote the album in the Spring of 2003. It was during that short period of time when people other than Dick Cheney believed we would be welcomed as liberators. Some members of the audience glared at us when we played it. A year later, at the 25,000 person festival at Byron Bay, Australia, it was an anthem. People were cheering when Kay Kay yelled "no more war". Sadly, this one is probably going to be relevant for a long time to come.
